Tuesday is of course Election Day – with polls being open from 7:00am – 7:00pm across the state, with Kay Ivey facing off against challenger Walt Maddox in the Governor’s Race, while Joseph Siegelman makes his bid for the office of Attorney General against Steve Marshall. Meanwhile in the race for U.S. Representative in the 3rd Congressional District Mike Rogers faces Mallory Hagan.
In local races – On the Cherokee County Board of Education for Place #3 the race is between incumbent Suzanne James Bishop and challenger Lisa Chandler, and the race for Place #4 is between incumbent Lisa McKissick and challenger Erica Brown.
The contest for State Senate District 10 is between Republican candidate Andrew Jones and Craig Ford, who is running as an Independent.
