Two Accidents Reported In Chattooga County On Saturday

Emergency workers worked two rollover wrecks on opposite ends of Chattooga County on Saturday.

One accident happened on Highway 27 on the east-side of Taylor Ridge on Saturday afternoon.  According to early reports, a vehicle was traveling on Highway 27 when it left the roadway and overturned.  The vehicle caught on fire during the accident, but all three occupants of the vehicle were able to get out of the car without any serious injuries.  The Georgia State Patrol worked the accident, along with area fire departments.

Another rollover accident happened on Highway 157 at Cloudland on Saturday night.  According to early reports, the vehicle left the roadway near High Rock Road which is located between the caution light at the top of the mountain and Camp Juliet Lowe.  When the car was discovered there was no one around.  The driver and any occupants of the vehicle had fled from the scene.  The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department and the Georgia State Patrol worked the accident.
