Two Ft Payne Men Arrested in Connection With Series of Auto Break-In’s

Auto 100Ft Payne Police Officials have solved a series of automobile break-in’s with the arrest of two Ft Payne men.

A total of seven motor vehicle break-in’s occurred in the areas of Ramblewood Apartments, Cherokee Apartments and Deerfield Apartments beginning July 13th.

On Wednesday of this week, one of the victims caught one of the suspects red-handed – but the individual managed to get away.

Officers in the area began an immediate search – and both 20 year old Nicholas James Lane and 24 year old Corey Lee Armstrong were taken into custody in connection with the case.

Lane was charged with Robbery 3rd Degree, six charges of Breaking & Entering of a Motor Vehicle and Assault 2nd Degree, in addition to a warrant with the city – and Armstrong was charged with Receiving Stolen Property 2nd Degree, and five counts of Breaking & Entering of a Motor Vehicle.
