Two people were arrested on drug charges in Cherokee County on Tuesday.
Steven David Caneer 38 of Ft Payne was charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. He was booked into jail around 12:30am, where he currently remains with bond set at $5,500.
Traci Gowens McKnight age 40 from Sand Rock was arrested and charged with one count of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and one count of Theft of Property 4th Degree. She was booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center just after 6:00pm and released shortly before 8:00 that evening after making bond of $2,800.
