Two people were arrested on controlled substance charges overnight in Cherokee County.
James Randall Smith, age 38 from Centre and 41 year old Bethany Wood Vila of a Buchanan, Georgia address, were both charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and booked into jail around 1:50am Monday.
They currently remain in the Cherokee County Detention Center w/bond set at $3,000 each
