Centre Police Respond to Two Separate Two-Vehicle Accidents Monday

Centre Police officers responded to a pair of two-vehicle accidents Monday – fortunately no one was hurt in either incident.

The first wreck occurred shortly after 11:00 that morning on County Road 63 at Blackwell’s Crossroads.  That mishap involved a 2013 Ford Taurus being driven by Gaylesville resident Danny Gibson, age 55, and a 2003 Ford Expedition driven by 32 year old Patrick Simpson of Cedar Bluff.

The second collision, involving an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck, took place at around 9:30 that night on the Cedar Bluff Road near County Road 69.  Officers responded to the location to discover that a 2007 Chevy Silverado 3500 driven by 78 year old Joe McElroy and a 2017 Freightliner driven by Samuel Baker of Rome, Georgia had been involved in that wreck.

Both accidents remain under investigation by the Centre Police Department.
