Two Car Crash Sends Woman to Hospital

Wendy's 1

A Thursday morning wreck in front of the Wendy’s on Turner McCall Boulevard, resulted in the driver of a Dodge Charger having to be extricated from the vehicle.

According to Officer Kyle York of the Rome Police Department a Buick was pulling out from East 7th Street and the driver failed to see an oncoming Dodge Charger traveling eastbound – the Buick struck the Charger, causing it to flip into the restaurant parking lot.

The car came to rest on the driver’s side, trapping the woman inside.

The Rome Fire Department had to cut the roof off of the Charger in order to get her out, and she was then transported by ambulance to the hospital.

That crash took place just after 7:00am; no names have yet been released and no additional information has been released regarding the extent of the woman’s injuries.
