Two Centre Men Arrested For Burglary Near Pruett’s Campground

Cherokee County deputies and investigators arrested two Centre residents after responding to a burglary in progress call on County Road 22 near Pruett’s Campground.  

The homeowner observed two males stealing items from his residence and called the Sheriff’s Office.  En route to the scene, investigators spotted the suspects’ vehicle and engaged them in  a short pursuit. 

40 year old Christopher G. Hill and 53 year old Larry Joe Brannon both of Centre, were arrested and charged with  third-degree burglary, obscuring the identity of a vehicle, attempting to elude, and violation of the prohibition law. 

Deputies transported both suspects to the Cherokee County Detention Center where they await bond.  Investigators are continuing to work to recover more stolen property.
