Two Charged with Child Sex Crimes in Floyd County

Two men were booked in at the Floyd County Jail on New Year’s Eve, on warrants charging them with aggravated child molestation, with sexual exploitation of children, the electronic enticement of a child, and with the use of a computer service to lure a child into committing an illegal act.

According to the warrants, 36 year old Benjamin Michael Crump of Canton, and 21 year old Noah Weston Clay of Rome each made contact with someone on social media they believed to be a child that under the age of 16. 

Crump also allegedly requested nude pictures of the child and sent nude pictures of himself – he was additionally charged with furnishing obscene materials to minors. Clay reportedly asked for nude pictures of the child in that case as well.

In each case – the men arrived at an agreed-upon location, with the intention of engaging in sexual acts, only to be met by law enforcement.
