Two Gadsden Women Arrested After Admitting to Using Drugs While Pregnant

Two Gadsden women, both arrested last Friday (December 29th) – are currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center after they had each admitted to illegally using drugs while pregnant.

Information contained in a News Release from Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin stated that 26 year old Brittany Nicole Bolan tested positive for Suboxone and methamphetamine.

Amber Nicole Phipps, age 21, reportedly admitted to using marijuana while pregnant – and she tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana.

Both women have been charged with Chemical Endangerment of a Child, and bond for each has been set at $10,000 cash.

Both Bolan and Phipps, as part of their bond – must successfully complete a drug treatment program and upon release will be supervised by Etowah County Community Corrections.
