Traffic was blocked for a short period of time late Wednesday afternoon, following a single-vehicle accident on Highway 9 in front of Trammel Welding in Cedar Bluff. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which ended up off the roadway on its side – however first responders stabilized two individuals at the scene, suffering from what appeared to be minor injuries. Both were then transported to an area hospital by Floyd EMS for further evaluation.
Other emergency personnel acted as traffic control until the subjects could be cared for and the vehicle removed from the scene.
The Cedar Bluff Police and Fire Departments, Cherokee County Rescue Squad, and Alabama State Troopers also responded.
