Two children were shaken up in a four-wheeler accident in Cedar Bluff over the weekend.

According to Officer Mike Howard with the Cedar Bluff Police Department – that accident took place on Summer Place Road at around 4:00pm Sunday – when the 15 year old boy driving the ATV lost control and struck a tree. Fortunately, it was a glancing blow rather than a direct hit – seemingly resulting in only minor injuries to both parties on the four-wheeler.

The teenager was transferred for treatment primarily as a precautionary measure; meanwhile his eleven year old sister was reportedly treated at the scene although it remains unclear whether or not she was transported as well.

The ATV, which received extensive damage in the accident, reportedly belonged to a neighbor.
