Accident reports have now been released regarding a two-vehicle accident taking place last week on Main Street in Centre.

That wreck occurred around 3:30pm on November 26th and it involved a 2007 Chevy 3500 work truck belonging to McElroy Construction of Cedar Bluff; the driver 73 year old Joe McElroy was unhurt in the mishap – however, both the driver and a passenger in the other vehicle, a 1981 Ford F-100 pickup truck – were hurt.

According to the accident report, that passenger, Connie Cagle – was taken by Cherokee EMS to Cherokee Medical Center for treatment while the driver, 53 year old William Roden Jr. of Centre was also listed as being hurt, but no additional information was available.

That accident closed traffic in both directions for close to an hour.
