Two Injured in Three Vehicle Wreck on the Chesnut Bypass Wednesday Afternoon

Two people were taken to Cherokee Medical Center in the wake of a three-vehicle wreck on the Chesnut Bypass in Centre Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Centre Police Department report the wreck involved a 2006 Toyota Matrix driven by 39 year old William Doegg of Centre and a Chevy Trailblazer driven by Cassandra Blansit, age 35 of Ft Payne.  Both Doegg and Blansit were unhurt

Tammy Wilson, age 53 of Centre, driving a 2012 Ford Focus, and a passenger, Jeremy Miller were both taken to the hospital by Cherokee EMS to be checked out after the accident, with both being treated and released.

That accident took place in front of the Happy China restaurant just prior to 4:30pm.

The Centre Police and Fire Department, Cherokee EMS, Cherokee County Rescue Squad and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the scene.
