Two people were injured in a two car crash on the Chesnut Bypass in Centre early Monday afternoon. The mishap occurred in front of the Bypass Express at around 1:00pm involving a 2007 GMC Envoy and a 2009 Dodge Ram.
The driver of the Envoy, listed on the accident report as a male resident of Leesburg – and a passenger in the Dodge Ram, a male resident of Gaylesville – were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge, a female resident of Gaylesville, was unhurt.
Centre Police and Firefighters, Floyd EMS and Rescue Squad personnel all responded.
Two lanes of traffic were shut down while crews worked the scene and cleared debris from the roadway.
That accident remains under investigation by the Centre Police Department.
