Three Hurt In Three Car Crash In Centre / UPDATED

A total of three people were hurt in a three-vehicle accident occurring at the intersection of Cedar Bluff Road and the Chestnut Bypass in Centre on Tuesday afternoon just after 2:00.

According to Centre Police Department accident report that mishap involved a 2006 Dodge Caravan being driven by Mary Usry of Centre – and a 2003 Ford Ranger driven by Jonathon Robert Palmer, Jr. also from Centre; a third vehicle was also involved but was only “tapped” by one of the other vehicles and the driver was unhurt.

Both Usry and Palmer were taken to Cherokee Medical Center for treatment; a passenger in the Usry vehicle, Kim Carruthers, was also listed as being hurt on the report.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation.

Centre Police and Firefighters along with Cherokee EMS and Cherokee County Rescue Squad Personnel responded to the scene.
