Two Separate Single-Vehicle Accidents Occur Wednesday Morning on the River Bridge Between Centre and Cedar Bluff

A single-vehicle accident taking place at the River Bridge – between Cedar Bluff and Centre, backed up traffic for almost an hour Wednesday morning.

According to reports the wreck took place on the Centre side of the bridge at 4:43am and at 5:36 one lane of traffic was released with the second following moments later.  Cedar Bluff Police, along with Centre Police and Fire units responded to the location; it appears no one was hurt in the mishap.

Another single-vehicle wreck occurred at the same bridge, this time on the Cedar Bluff side, at 6:55am.  The roadway was cleared around 7:35.  Fortunately it seems no one was hurt in that accident either.

It’s unclear what led to those accidents however we did have reports of freezing fog and icy spots on roadways around the area at that time.
