Two Teenagers Shot At The Jacksonville McDonalds

Shooting Incident 1

Jacksonville police say a 16-year-old male from Oxford faces two counts of attempted murder following a shooting Friday night at the McDonald’s location on Pelham Road.

Assistant Chief Bill Wineman said the shooting happened at 8:40 p.m. Officers responding to a 911 call found two black males suffering from gunshot wounds.

The two victims, Abdul R. Khalillah, 18, of Anniston, and Ronnie M. Royal, 19, of Alexandria, were taken to Jacksonville’s Regional Medical Center and airlifted to UAB Hospital. Their conditions are unknown.

Police believe the shooting happened as a result of an argument that began at a basketball game earlier. During the fight, the 16-year-old pulled out a handgun and began firing. He then left with friends on foot and got into one of four vehicles leaving the area, investigators believe.

Wineman said the suspected shooter is a black male, standing between 6 feet 2 inches and 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 190 pounds. Warrants have been served but the suspect has not been arrested.
