Two Underage Teens Arrested At Crossville High School After Bringing Spice To School And Smoking It

Two underage teens ages 15 & 16 are some trouble after they brought to school and smoked an unknown amount of spice.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said the incident took place on Friday atCrossville High School.

The 16 year old had a medical reaction to the spice and went to School Resource Officer Rene Ramos, at which time an Ambulance was called and the teen was transported to Marshall Medical Center South where he was treated and released.

At that time Officer Ramos also contacted the Drug Task Force. The Drug Task Force assisted Ramos with the case and the investigation is still ongoing.

The 15 year old was charged with Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substance and Tampering with Evidence, the 16 year old was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Public Intoxication.

Both were transported by DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office to the Juvenile Probation Office in Fort Payne.

Sheriff Harris said that this case shows the importance of having school resource officers in every school system.
