Two Vehicle Accident Blocks Highway 35 At Riverside Lane Near The Four Way Stop In Gaylesville / UPDATED

Emergency crews responded to the scene of a two vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 35 at Riverside Lane in Gaylesville on Thursday afternoon. An Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report listed those involved as 40 year old Christina Davis of Cedar Bluff, driving a 2005 Mazda and Joshua Pogue, age 26 of Cedar Bluff, driving a 2005 Nissan.

Davis was listed on the report as being hurt in the mishap while Pogue escaped injury.  The report did not contain any additional information regarding the extent of Davis’ injuries – it did note, however, that she was wearing her seat belt.

The time of the accident was logged as having occurred at 4:29pm.

Those responding included Alabama State Troopers, Gaylesville Fire Department, Cherokee EMS and the Cherokee County Rescue Squad.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by troopers.
