Cedar Bluff Police and members of the Cedar Bluff Fire Department in addition to Cherokee EMS units responded to a two-vehicle accident on Highway 68, in front of Harton’s Nursery & Grocery just before 10:00 Friday morning.
A car was struck from behind by a pickup truck causing extensive damage to the rear of the vehicle, which resulted in a small amount of fuel leaking from the gas tank of the car. As a result, Cherokee County EMA was notified. The occupants of both vehicles were checked out at the scene and released.
The wreck remains under investigation by the Cedar Bluff Police Department.
