One person was taken for treatment by Floyd EMS following the collision between a tractor trailer and a Lincoln Town Car, just before 11:30 Monday morning at the intersection of the Chesnut Bypass and the Cedar Bluff Road in Centre.
The driver’s side of the car sustained major damage while the rear wheel and axle assembly of the trailer was sheared off from the impact.
The driver of the car did not appear to be suffering any life-threatening injuries.
Those responding to the scene also included Centre Police and Fire units, and the Cherokee County EMA.
