U.S. 278 in Southeastern Cherokee County near the Georgia State Line was closed for a while Saturday for a recovery operation involving an 18-wheeler that ran off the road during the snow storm.
The truck, which was hauling tires, slid of the road and went down an embankment.
Fagan’s Wrecker Service did the recovery work, which took about two hours.
