Update on Highway 411 Accident That Occurred Monday Morning / Four Injured

Early reports indicated that two individuals were hurt in an accident taking place at around 11:30 Monday morning on Highway 411 at the intersection with County Road 83; however, after the Alabama Law Enforcement accident report was released, we learned that actually, a total of four people were injured.

That accident involved two vehicles although the utility-type truck and the SUV involved never actually touched.   According to reports those vehicles swerved to avoid a collision, and that SUV crashed into an embankment.

It appears that a two year old child was airlifted for treatment by LifeForce Helicopter from a landing zone at Cherokee Medical Center and three adults were transported for treatment by Cherokee EMS – including the driver, 47 year old Adrienne Santana of Centre, along with two passengers, listed on the report as Sara Hulsey and Matthew Hunkapiller

Those responding to the scene included the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Cherokee EMS the Spring Creek Fire Department and Alabama State Troopers.

No additional information has been released regarding the condition of those injured in the mishap.
