A Cherokee County man is being held in jail in neighboring Floyd County, Georgia, in connection with his arrest Monday morning on speeding charges.
Sixty-eight year old Johnny Usry was pulled over for the simple traffic violation and it was discovered that he was also wanted on Fugitive from Justice charges here. Sheriff Jeff Shaver has confirmed that Usry is On Hold for Cherokee County – however we’ve yet to learn his original charges.
