Valley Head Man Charged with Stealing Chevy Silverado from Collinsville Address

A Valley Head man was arrested on Tuesday of this week – in connection with the theft of a vehicle from the Collinsville area.  According to Collinsville Police Chief Rex Leath, the 2014 Chevy Silverado pick up was stolen at around 5:30am – and about 10:30 that morning a call came in from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – stating that they’d received reports of a vehicle matching the description of the stolen truck sitting in a church parking lot – and, the driver was seen walking down the road.

Collinsville Police and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to that location, with Collinsville officers arresting 24 year old James Howard, Jr., and transporting him to the City Jail,

He was later transferred to the DeKalb County Detention Center, where he’s being on bond of $40,000.
