A car crashed into the front of a Centre restaurant just before lunch time Tuesday.
At around 11:00am, the vehicle crashed into the front entrance of the BBQ Place & More, on the Alexis Road in Centre.
We spoke with Mayor Tony Wilkie, who owns the restaurant, and he said he was extremely thankful that the accident occurred before the lunch rush began and no one was hurt inside the building or in the car; the vehicle crashed into the breezeway, going far enough into the building to smash the actual entry doors into the dining area, leaving the car halfway inside the restaurant.
Wilkie added that he had already contacted construction crews and made arrangements for the repair work to begin immediately.
