It was a very emotional but heartfelt reunion for a Centre man who met his brother for the first time in 81 years on Monday evening.
After 66 years of searching for his family, 81 year old John Saffa found his brother, 71 year old Tom Moore. The two meet at John’s apartment at Pineview Crossings in Centre.
Saffa told us on Sunday afternoon that up until he took a DNA recently he didn’t even realize he had 7 nephews, a niece and now his brother. We were there as the brothers were able to unite and Tom told us about how it felt to meet his brother for the first time.
John said the feeling of meeting his brother was simple…pure love.
John and Tom say that they look forward to spending a lot of time together in the future.
