CEDAR BLUFF – Cedar Bluff’s Jordyn Walker tossed a two-hit shutout with three walks and 10 strikeouts. She also helped herself at the plate with a pair of doubles and a run in the Lady Tigers’ 4-0 softball win over Gaylesville on Thursday.
Mattie Payne posted a hit, a run and a RBI for the Lady Tigers. Caitlin Slayton contributed a hit and a run. Reece Patterson posted a hit and Maggie Clowdis scored a run.
Shonda Epps had a hit and a walk for the Lady Trojans. Malaya Shireman had the other Gaylesville hit. She also suffered the loss after working six innings. She gave up an earned run on five hits with no walks and four strikeouts.
Cedar Bluff scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning and two more in the fifth for the final.
