iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Wall Street closed mixed on Tuesday, but the Dow had its sixth record high close.
The Dow closed up 25.96 (+0.14 percent) to finish at 18,559.01.
The Nasdaq gave up 19.41 (-0.38 percent) to close at 5,036.37, while the S&P 500 closed at 2,163.78, down 3.11 (-0.14 percent) from its open.
Crude oil fell over 1 percent with prices hitting less than $45 a barrel.
Netflix: Netflix’s shares tumbled over 13 percent Tuesday after investors reacted to disappointing subscriber numbers in its quarter two report. The streaming service expected to add 2.5 million subscribers in the second-quarter, but only added 1.7 million. In the U.S., Netflix added 160,000 users, lower than the projected 500,000 subscribers.
Winners: Johnson & Johnson’s stock climbed nearly 2 percent after surprising investors with a sales and profit beat in the second-quarter. Shares for Microsoft Coproration were up over 3 percent in after hours trading after exceeding expectations in its fiscal fourth quarter.
Nintendo: Since the release of Pokemon Go, Nintendo’s stock has skyrocketed and more than doubled in price to $42 billion. On Tuesday, shares soared another 14 percent at the close.
