According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Mitchell L. Wood, 53 from Cedar Bluff, was arrested in Kit Carson County, Colorado, last week on a warrant from Cherokee County.
A Cherokee County Grand Jury indicted Wood earlier this year, for the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st Degree – which is a felony. The Kit Carson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Wood and he is being returned to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
Sheriff Shaver also reported that two individuals wanted in Cherokee County were arrested last week in upstate New York.
They are both charged with Robbery 1st Degree in Cherokee County.
The pair was taken into custody by the United States Marshal’s Service and they should also be in the Cherokee County Detention Center within the week.
