Firefighters were dispatched to a location on County Road 553 in Cedar Bluff just after 5:30 Monday morning.
Upon arrival several members of the Cedar Bluff Fire Department found what turned out to be the scene of a small fire that was already out and had apparently been caused by a water heater malfunction.
Centre and Gaylesville units were at that point cancelled – Cedar Bluff firefighters stayed on the scene clearing away smoke and inspecting the area to make certain everything was safe prior to their departure.
