On Friday, elected officials, friends, fans and family members gathered in downtown Centre to welcome home the Cherokee County trio Worth the Wait who just completed their journey on NBC’s The Voice.
Centre Mayor Mark Mansfield presented each member of the group with an official key to the city.
Worth the Wait, the singing trio from Centre, made up of sisters Mia and Jacy Matthews and mother Tara, had a tremendous run on Season 19 of The Voice.
They made it all the way to the top 17 on the NBC reality show – before being eliminated, as the list of contestants was trimmed to the final nine.
