Wendell Harold Maddox, 72 of Centre, passed away Thursday, February 25th at Cherokee Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 1:PM Sunday, February 28th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Jones officiating; burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:PM Saturday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Jimmy Shirah, Brent Snowden, Jimmy Cook, Josh Brown, Wayne Petty, Wade Petty.
Survivors include sons, Wendell Harold Maddox of Dawson, Brenson Alan (Demina) Maddox of Rome, GA; daughter, Rebecca (Brent) Snowden of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Dylan, Zachary, Robert, Hunter & Ethan Maddox, Brittany Lolling, William & Matthew Snowden; nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elaine Maddox.
Mr. Maddox was a native of Columbus, Ga, the son of the late Wendell Harold, Sr. and Bernice Buckles Maddox, was a locomotive operator for Plant Hammond, coal power plant and was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
