White House speechwriter resigns amid domestic violence allegations

Vacclav/iStock/Thinkstock(WASHINGTON) — White House speechwriter David Sorensen resigned Friday night amid abuse allegations levied against him by his ex-wife.

Sorensen has denied the allegations.

Sorensen is the second White House aide to step down in the wake of past allegations after Staff Secretary Rob Porter resigned Wednesday afternoon.
