William Austin “Dub” Lindsey, age 81 of Fultondale, passed away Tuesday, November 24th in a Birmingham Hospital.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Betty K. Lindsey; brother, Albert Hobson Lindsey; son, Chris (Lynn) Lindsey; daughters, Annessia (Jimmy) Capps, Karyn (Raymond) Speakman; stepdaughters, Carol (Lee) Burke, Barbara (David) Gould; stepson, Bobby (Carole) Kerr; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, aunts and uncles.
Mr. Lindsey was a native of Cherokee County, raised in the Round Mountain Community, the son of the late John Moses and Leila Mae Martin Lindsey and was 1 of 11 children. He worked for Brass & Gorrie for 20 years and was a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years. He loved farming and gardening and loved watching western movies. He also loved talking about his favorite childhood memories often and of his family and friends.
