William Edward “Eddie” Preston, Jr. age 50, of Centre passed away Monday July 4, 2016 in Cherokee Medical Center, in Centre.

Eddie was born April 18, 1966, in Cedartown. He was of the Baptist faith. Eddie was preceded in death by his father, William Edward Preston, Sr.

Survivors include his wife Paula Hicks Preston, sons, William Cody (Cady)  Preston, Cedartown; stepson, Jeffrey (Candice) Hammond, Cedartown; daughter, Jessica Lynn (Tiffany) Preston, Cedartown; Breanna (Nick) Preston, Centre; mother, Vivian Heath Preston, Cedartown; brother, Christopher Lee Preston, Cedartown. grandchildren, Jerrica, Michelle, and Lily Grace Preston, Farra Walker, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday July 8, 2016 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Barry Rogers, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Old Nazareth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday July 7, 2016 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
