William “Roger” Steele, age 61 of Brunswick Ga. passed peacefully into the arms of God on Sunday December 23,2018    

He was a life-long resident of Cherokee County Al. and was raised in Cedar Bluff Al. He was a sewing machine mechanic by trade.

He is survived by his children Stephanie (Eric) Crider of Brunswick Ga., Robert (Kim) Steele of Jefferson Ga., Heather Brown of Brunswick Ga. his girlfriend of 6 years Tonya East of Brunswick Ga. Other survivors also include several grandchildren (Louis, Kendall, Colton, his pretty pretty girl Emma Grace, Elijah, and London) sisters Donna Steele Hill and Lisa (Dirk) Evans. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Services will be Saturday December 29, 2018 at 2:00pm at Enon Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Terry Hawkins officiating.

He was preceded in death by father William E. Steele, mother Helen R. Steele, sister Martha Clifton, and nephew Dak Evans.

The family requests that instead of flowers you can make a donation to a charity of your choice that helps abused children. We would also like to thank the whole Emory University Heart failure team for all of their support and care for him over the years.
