Willie Joe Harkness, age 87 of Centre, passed away Monday, September 3rd at his residence.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 8th at Perry Funeral Home.
Survivors include sons, Herbert Harkness of Centre, James Kenneth Harkness of New York; daughters, Venessa Harkness of El Paso, TX, Kimbra Harkness of El Paso, TX, Jackie Long of Chattanooga, TN, Angie Long of Rome, GA; sister, Hazel Harkness Hobson of Centre; one grandson, Malcolm L. Harkness.
Mr. Harkness was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Ruben “Chuck” and Ida M. Mattison Harkness and was a retired Army Veteran.
