As colder air continues to push southward, the chances will increase for a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain across much of north Central Alabama. Travel may become hazardous. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Birmingham from 9 p.m. Monday until Midnight Wednesday. Tonight: A chance of rain before 9pm, then snow and sleet, possibly mixed with freezing rain. Low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible.

New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible. Tuesday Night: Rain likely, possibly mixed with freezing rain and sleet. Cloudy, with a low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
