Woman Injured After Crashing SUV into Power Pole in Cherokee County Wednesday Morning

The driver of a 2001 Ford SUV was hurt when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a power pole Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency that wreck took place on U.S. 411 approximately four miles north of Centre, at 12:54pm. 

After leaving the road, the SUV struck a power pole, breaking it in half – with the pole then landing on the vehicle.  The driver, a female resident of Centre appeared to have suffered only minor injuries,

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by State Troopers.

Those responding, in addition to state troopers, included the Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Floyd EMS, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, and members of the Cherokee County EMA.
