Emergency crews responded to an accident involving several vehicles near the Dollar General Store on 411 North in Forney just after 6:30 Monday evening.

Exact details remain sketchy, however, reports indicate a female driver apparently jumped out of her car before it left the roadway striking several other vehicles in the parking lot of the store.

Emergency crews at the scene located the driver who had apparently walked to a nearby residence; however, she stated that she did not need an ambulance – fortunately, no bystanders were harmed.

No additional details are available at this time – the Spring Creek Fire Department, Cherokee EMS, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department, and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.
